20 messages | Well, the keyboard is not the final one. The final one is made from a professional designer (i've the atmos keyboard actually, it is very nice ;).
A lut table is a Look Up Table (L U T) made to accelerate some actions / computations.
For example, when you do lots of tests in a loop, it's a good idea to think about a lut table to improve the speed.
Actually, my emulator works around 85% speed of a real oric.
But i am working on an assembler cpu core to reach the 100% speed.
Just wait a little again, the dsoric emulator is on the way  !

20 messages | Ok, here is the final version of the atmos keyboard
CPU emulation is now 100% assembly langage, like via chipset emulation.
I need to improove via emulation which is too slow (arm stack I/O pb) actually but, the emulation of the Oric on Nintendo DS works now completly !

Waskol, you made a oric emulator with Delphi, please help me, how does via emulation work ? do we need to emulate each cycle of the via chip regarding the 6502 chip ?
Or can we only do a "fake" emulation, like 2 via cycle emulation for one 6502 intruction emulation ? |

If it's about using the emulator, here is a little resume abotu how to use nds file for Nintendo DS :
To use this emulator, you need a Nintendo DS and a linker
If you don't have a Nintendo DS, you can try to use Ideas Emulator, it is a very nice emulator of a Nintendo DS but it is a little Slow. Here is the link : http://www.ideasemu.org/index.php?act=downloads
This emulator use the "dldi" method to emulate I/O, so you must patch it for your linker before using it.
of course, you have a readme / lisezmoi file in the zip archive to explain all that you need to use Dsoric ;) |
