GET a real Oric, a taperecorder or a computer and Load your favourite game, for example: Amnukor below
It's not quite simple, can someone explains us the best method ?
which player is uhe best in windows ? the tape recorder, the windows media player, the real player, etc... ?
what is the best sound level ?
how getting files in wav format ? using tap2wav ou tap2cd ?
thanks a lot to take some minutes for speaking of that

65 messages | My method is very simple and work perfect:
1. Convert my favourite game.tap to game.waw with tap2Wav (-11 option)
2. Copy any game.wav in a Audio CD with EasyCD Creator or Nero
3. "Cload" games on my real Oric with a simple CD reader (middle audio volume level)
4. Play on real Oric for several hour with a lot of fun without use a PC and no more old famous '80 tape cassette problems ;)
ORIC4EVER!! \(^..^) |

362 messages | yeah, good method sure, it works fine
it's very cool to have games on CD, the problem is the sound level
some CD-readers doesn't work at all, choose a good quality one
your method create a sort of cd-rom for oric
i think it's a good idea to create all formats: tap2cd > tap2wav > tap2wav -8 > tap2wav -11 and create 1 cd for 1 game
class it from the smaller one (fastest) to the bigger one (slowest)
i finally succeeded with a PC => Oric transfer and with the fast method: files of only 30 seconds (thanks tap2cd)
it's very, very, very difficult to find the correct sound level !!!
an exemple for my config:
ha, it will be fine to have a floppy drive for oric
