A little history by Maximus

On the steps of Champollion :

Egypt, cradle of humanity, one of most fabulous civilization, the ground of the Pharaons, Sphynx, Alexandria, the valley of the kings, Pyramids,… Places where archaelogist find unlimited source of facination and passion.

The scientist Jean-François Champollion (Figeac 1790-1831), on the traces of Napoleon, left his native home whith the fascination of the mysterious the hieroglyphs that he was abled to decode. He created the Egyptology science, and was in charge for innumerable vocations throughout the whole world.

Aspired in his turn by the magic breath of the desert, Arnaud decided to try the adventure, equipped with a decoder and an rifle, he took the direction of the pyramid of Djeser, unexplored and full with dangers, and which would hide in its entrails a splendid treasure : the Sceptre of Anubis.

Will Anubis, the god with head of jackal, master of the funerary worships, leave this intrusion unpunished ? Is this safe to disturb the rest of deaths?

But passion and curiosity are too strong, this half-opened door is a call to the adventure, impossible to resist the exploring temptation. We are finally all a little of Champollion in the heart !

The research of the scepter

After one week of walk here is finally the Pyramid of Djeser, now i can see the entry. I hope that it makes much colder inside.

Finally i am in the pyramid, now i must replace my flashlight, because the batteries are nearly empty and without light it'll be death. My rifle does not seem to have supported the voyage and sand, I am not sure that it still working…

I finally found what to replace my flashlight and during my exploration I found a sword and a cord.

I must pay attention not to be overloaded and keep with me only what is essential.

Ouf ! I feared for my life, behind a giant web I found a key as well as a giant spider. Fortunately I had the right weapon with me, if not I will be in its stomach now.

After several hours of walk,
I found information very interesting by reading the hieroglyphs on the walls.

I found the first treasures in an secret room which was revealed by pressing on a button in shape of  sun.

In a chest I found two rings… and a little further one bag, it can be useful but without the snake which was inside!

Under the pyramid i found water and freshness.
The tree trunks are floating above do not inspire me confidence, I don't want to swim.

Second encounter in the pyramid, a mummy was waiting for me and seems to want an offering.

I must have something of value to give to it.

I am in the tomb I nearly succeeded !

The scepter is in one of these chest, I think i have read in which chest it is.

I have got the scepter ! I just have to find the exit, it must have a secret passage somewhere ...

Conclusion

Le sceptre d'Anubis is a very classic game of adventure, with this king of game, the play is linear, rather short and death is possible with each action without being able to guess it.

Despite the game is not very difficult and whith the use a map and list of the key words we can progress rather quickly.

From the graphic point of view, I appreciated that all the transportable objects are drawn on the screen,
and I find that graphics of the rooms are well drawn and coloured.

Le sceptre of anubis is a good small game of adventure without claim, it should be play with the map in your hands…
